Additional Notes:
Six diagnostic files are generated for each file during the ingest process.
The six diagnostics are latitude and longitude sections of the
image from the visble and infrared channels for each of the ARM locations.
The diagnostic file is an ASCII file.
Diagnostic files can be used to create daily and monthly temporal
distribution Hovmuller gif files. Web based data viewers use these files
to provide a quick overview of the conditions, data quality and data
availability during a particular time period as depicted by the satellite
imagery.
We have files covering 10/11/96 - 08/01/97 at present. Beginning on
09/22/97, we are planning to send out the one month's worth of backlog data
per day for the next couple of days. We will then send the one month's worth
of data (~6 files) at the end of each month.
