Source Instrument(s):

External Data Source: University of Miami

Instrument Mentor(s): Peter Minnett, Ajoy Kumar

Transfer Schedule: We are planning to transfer the backlog of data (~2 Gb/day)
starting 02/21/2001.

Additional Notes:
TWP Avhrr data are derived from reduced resolution GAC (Global Area Coverage)
data that is routinely archived at Miami. These data are intended as stop-gap
measure to fill in for the data that the ARM HRPT receiving station in
Port Moresby wasn't able to deliver because of a long slew of difficulties
with the facilities and operators at the PNG Weather Service station in
Port Moresby.
