These data were collected during the Fall 1997 IOP at the ARM SGP site.

about CPRS data and images

CPRS data files are labeled with the band name ( Ka=33 GHz, W=95 GHz),
the UTC time stamp corresponding to the beginning of the file and a data
product name. Data product labels are listed below:

   * ZVV or ZHH: Coplarized radar reflecvtivity, dBZe
   * VEL: Mean Doppler radial velocity, m/s
   * VAR: Doppler spectral width (variance), cm/s
   * LDR: Linear depolarization ratio
   * FFT: Full spectrum Doppler data

For example, the file Ka960329.074210.ZHH.gif is Ka band H polarization
reflectivity GIFformat image measured on Mar. 29,1996 starting at
07:42:10 UTC. Images are  in GIF format. Data is stored in NetCDF.
