This is your notification of a new data stream that we will be distributing
from the XDC to the Archive.

The following information should fully describe the new data stream. If you
have any questions about this, please send them to the sender of this message.

Data stream Name(s):

No.1 gectomsaerosolindexX1.00.yyyymmdd.000000.raw.tar

Monthly aerosol data. It contains the following individual files:
     gectomsaerosolindexX1.00.yyyymmdd.000000.raw

"The daily gridded, ASCII data is an aerosol index formed
directly from the measured radiances in two TOMS channels.
Positive values generally represent absorbing aerosols (dust and smoke)
while negative values reresent nonabosrbing aerosols. The identification
is not perfect because of geophysical reasons (e.g., aerosol too low to
     the ground)."

No.2 gectomsozoneX1.00.yyyymmdd.000000.raw.tar

Monthly ozone data. It contains the following individual files:
     gectomsozoneX1.00.yyyymmdd.000000.raw

No.3 gectomsreflX1.00.yyyymmdd.000000.raw.tar

Monthly reflectivity data. It contains the following individual files:
     gectomsreflX1.00.yyyymmdd.000000.raw

Source Instrument(s): Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer

External Data Source: Goddard Space Flight Center

Instrument Mentor(s): Peter Minnett, Rick Wagener

Transfer Schedule:

We have the data covering 19960725-present. we are planning to send the
   backlog data on 05/20/1999.
