+---------------------------------+

This is your notification of a new data stream that we will be distributing
from the XDC to the Archive.

The following information should fully describe the new data stream. If you
have any questions about this, please send them to the sender of this message.

Data stream Name(s):

No.1 gecomiaerosolindexX1.00.yyyymmdd.000000.raw.tar

Monthly aerosol data. It contains the following individual files:
     gecomiaerosolindexX1.00.yyyymmdd.000000.raw

"THE AEROSOL INDEX VALUES IN THESE FILES ARE THE OMI AEROSOL INDEX
VALUES ADJUSTED DOWN BY ONE HALF N-VALUE TO BE CONSISTENT WITH THE TOMS
     DATA RECORD.

Positive values generally represent absorbing aerosols (dust and smoke)
while negative values represent nonabsorbing aerosols. The identification
is not perfect because of geophysical reasons (e.g., aerosol too low to
     the ground). "

No.2 gecomiozoneX1.00.yyyymmdd.000000.raw.tar

Monthly ozone data. It contains the following individual files:
     gecomiozoneX1.00.yyyymmdd.000000.raw

"Daily gridded (L3), ASCII files from year YYYY, month MM and day DD.
The data in these ASCII files are in the format used for the Nimbus-7
and Earth Probe CD-ROM. Details of this format are explained in the
EarthProbe Data Products User's Guide, EARTHPROBE_USERGUIDE.PDF,
available in the parent directory (pub/eptoms). "

No.3 gecomiradcfX1.00.yyyymmdd.000000.raw.tar

Monthly radiative cloud fraction data. It contains the following individual files:
     gecomiradcfX1.00.yyyymmdd.000000.raw

"RCF characterizes the fraction of measured radiation that is scattered by clouds."

Source Instrument(s): Ozone Monitoring Instrument
